In terms of food and wine tourism, Umbria is a model. Olive tourism increasingly engages enthusiasts, both Italian and foreign, revitalizing the territory. It is a tourism grounded in ethics and sustainability. Amidst the green hills of Umbria, the olive tree stands out, a plant that in many ways represents Umbria well, a land capable of lovingly preserving age-old traditions.

When in 1829 Pope Pius VIII, through a solemn proclamation, promised a reward of a paolo (equivalent to the earnings of an entire day’s work in the fields) to anyone who planted an olive tree, Umbria, as if by magic, began to be covered with olive trees. From the olive presses began to flow an emerald green oil, intense, fruity, with the persistent aroma of freshly pressed olives and freshly cut grass, with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. It is the oil of yesterday. It is the oil of today. The DOP Umbria extra virgin olive oil, a source of great pride for the region.

Umbria is the first Italian region to have obtained the recognition of DOP throughout the entire regional territory. A portion of our company is dedicated to olive growing and the production of organic extra virgin olive oil, the result of a complex process that requires passion, experience, and a close and trusting relationship with nature. In our tastings, warm bruschetta, seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, are always present. A simple and genuine dish that expresses the essence and territorial identity.
